Ms. Taton maintains a diverse range of clients that includes Fortune 500 companies, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, municipalities, motor carriers, churches, and school districts. Her practice focuses on catastrophic injury/ wrongful death, premises liability, construction law, products liability, commercial litigation, and commercial trucking defense.

Ms. Taton is experienced with all facets of litigation, including initial pleadings, written discovery, law and motion, dispositive motions, depositions, expert discovery, trial preparation, trial and post-trial determinations. On the plaintiff’s side, Ms. Taton second chaired an elder abuse trial that resulted in a jury verdict in excess of $5 million dollars. On the defense side, she has successfully resolved disputes through trials, arbitrations, settlement negotiations and dispositive motions. Her thorough analysis and case preparation in the early phases of the litigation allows her to aggressively pursue the most favorable, cost-effective and efficient results for her clients.
In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Taton provides strategic guidance in the appellate process, including preservation of appealable issues, record assessment and preparation, research, briefing and argument. In particular, Ms. Taton has prevailed on appeals following judgments from dispositive motions and offers to compromise.

Ms. Taton is an advocate for human rights, spending her spare time volunteering for several charitable organizations, including the Union Rescue Mission. Previously, she clerked at the Court of Appeal/ Constitutional Court in Kampala, Uganda where she drafted decisions on issues of constitutional law and, at the same time, authored appellate briefs to release juveniles that were wrongfully incarcerated.
