Janet Guy

Senior Counsel

Ms. Guy is an aggressive advocate with one purpose in mind – to find the best way to achieve her clients’ goals. For many years she was plaintiffs’ counsel in matters involving catastrophic injury, wrongful death, premises liability, products liability, and the Federal Employers Liability Act. It is her practice to evaluate every aspect of cases in-depth, from assessing the facts and researching the legal issues, to investigating the parties and witnesses. By conducting such detailed analyses of cases, she is able to offer her clients the best courses of action for obtaining their objectives. Her pathways to dispute resolution are often creative, a product of thinking outside the box when necessary to achieve the desired result.
Ms. Guy is well versed and experienced in all aspects of litigation, from initial intake and case evaluation, to drafting pleadings, discovery, law and motion, dispositive motions, depositions, expert discovery, trial preparation, pre-trial motions, trial, post-trial motions, and appeals. She has successfully represented clients through trial, arbitration, mediation, settlement conference, informal settlement negotiations, and appeal. Recently, she chose to employ her efforts for the defense. Though she has moved to the defense, her objectives however remain the same – obtaining the most favorable, cost-effective results for clients.
